Bill Foltz Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Oakwood Temporary Housing
Bill Foltz is an experienced senior executive with a strong background in growing and operating holding companies with expertise in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, fundraising, and professional sports.
Bill is currently CFO of Oakwood Temporary Housing, the largest provider of temporary housing in the world. He joined Oakwood in February, 2009 assuming oversight of Treasury, Finance, Risk Management and Strategic Planning. He serves on the Executive Committee.
Earlier in Bill’s career, he served as CFO of the Los Angeles Dodgers professional baseball club where he spent 10 years as a key member of the management team. In addition to being a member of the executive team responsible for the sale of the club to News Corp., he had operational responsibility over all aspects of the clubs day to day operations. Prior to joining the Dodgers, Bill was a manager for the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young and is a CPA.
Following the Dodgers, Bill was CFO and a Principal of Platinum Equity Capital Partners, one of the fastest growing private equity firms in the nation. Bill oversaw the firm’s growth from approximately 30 people to over 180 employees, while Platinum expanded its portfolio investments from $175 million in ttm revenues in 1998 to over $4 billion in 2003. During this period, Bill had operational responsibility over Platinum’s 27 wholly-owned subsidiaries, was a member of the investment committee, and participated in almost all of the firm’s approximately 35 transactions during his tenure, overseeing the integration of the new acquisitions into the portfolio. Bill also managed the company’s initial private equity fundraising of $700 million.
As a SVP of Roll International, Bill oversaw the portfolio of seven wholly owned companies in consumer products, such as iconic consumer brands like Fiji Water and PomWonderful Pomegranate Juice. In addition to oversight for this $1 billion portfolio, Bill oversaw the business development group that led the acquisition of Fiji Water in November 2004.
Immediately prior to joining Oakwood, Bill was CFO of Gorilla Nation Media, one of the largest online advertising representation firms in the world. He oversaw the Finance, Accounting and HR departments. While at Gorilla, he successfully led the company’s second round fundraising. |
