Cheyenne, located at the north end of the Front Range, enjoys a “best of both worlds” atmosphere with the benefits of both Colorado’s growth and Wyoming’s slower pace. Clean air, little traffic congestion, relatively low crime, affordable housing, low taxes and cost of living, good schools, recreational and cultural activities, and quality health care make Cheyenne a good community in which to live.
A number of organizations work to build Cheyenne as an economic and cultural center for the area. The city maintains the comforts of a low population with friendly people and driving times less than twenty minutes to any location in town. Its cultural opportunities are abundant, though, with concerts, symphonies, theatrical performances, and other events occurring each day. Cheyenne is a comfortable alternative to metropolitan living.
