Just south of Roppongi is one of Tokyos most magical places: Azabujyuban, a historic village whose charms have won the hearts of the citys urbanites (Note: The neighborhood may be spelled "Azabu-Juban" on many maps).

On Azabujyuban's petite streets, traditional Japanese noodle houses and French bakeries cohabitate with trendy restaurants.

Oakwood Residence Azabujyuban lies in the very center of the neighborhood, steps from a bevy of shopping and dining options.  Two 24-hour supermarkets are moments away.

Azabujyuban offers a distinct international flavor, with a dozen foreign embassies located in the area. It's a great neighborhood for walking and people are on the street at all hours...shopping, sitting at coffee bars, etc.

Within walking distance is Roppongi Hills, a cultural centre of Tokyo featuring upmarket dining options and great culinary experiences such as Roy's Tokyo Bar & Grill, Wong's Chinois, Oak Door and The French Kitchen at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Il Mulino New York and L'ATELIER de Joel Robuchon.  There is also an unparalleled array of beautiful boutiques and designer stores, including: Mikimoto, Issey Miyake by Naoki Takizawa, Keita Maruyama, Christian Lacroix, Anna Sui, Zara and Bally.

Also in Roppongi Hills is the Toho Virgin Cinemas, the only of its kind entertainment in Tokyo featuring state of the art auditoriums and sensational sound systems.

Transportation to and from Azabujyuban is easy. The convenient Azabu-Juban subway station provides access to the Namboku and Oedo lines. The enclave is also convenient to major roads and the Shuto Expressway, and Oakwood has plenty of parking for guests with autos. Courteous taxis are plentiful and may be hailed on the street.
