As Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate, John Praino brings to Oakwood a wide range of expertise in real estate, procurement, vendor management, negotiations, operations, construction and more. He has a demonstrated track record of improving efficiency, increasing productivity and strengthening the bottom line to save millions of dollars a year in operating expenses.
Prior to joining Oakwood, Praino served as Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate for Beacon Health Options. There he oversaw all real estate transactions from start to finish, spearheaded the design and construction of new and remodeled offices, and managed the daily operations and maintenance for 110 locations.
Praino holds numerous professional certifications with U.S. and international organizations. He is both a certified facilities manager and sustainable facilities professional with the International Facility Management Association, and a LEED Green Associate with the U.S. Green Building Council. He is certified in 30 Hour Construction & Safety with OSHA and Black Support with S2 Security.
Praino has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Mercy College.
