Oakwood Concludes 2016 with New Destination Footprint and Launch of New Product

Oakwood forges into Vietnam with Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City; also launches Oakwood Suites, an exclusive and luxe residence for jetsetters in Jakarta.

SINGAPORE – Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd., which manages the finest serviced apartments for business and leisure travelers continues to break new ground relentlessly as the year heads toward a conclusion. This week, Oakwood makes its debut in Vietnam – a highly anticipated emerging market – with Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City. Concurrently, Oakwood Asia Pacific also extended its range of products with the debut of Oakwood Suites – opening Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta.

“We have had an exciting year in our pursuit of multilateral growth and this velocity carried on to the end of the year, concluding it with a bang” commented Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd. “By the end of the year, we would have seen our portfolio grow by 36%, expanded our footprint into four new markets, strengthened our presence in our key markets, and expanded the Oakwood offering to cater to more varied lifestyles.”

Opened on 14th December 2016, Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City is Oakwood’s first property in Vietnam. Offering 68 serviced apartments in District 3 with interiors inspired by Saigonese architecture, the property forms the epicenter from which residents may soak in the pulse of the vibrant city. “The opening of Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City is not only a prelude to Oakwood’s plans to establish its presence in Vietnam, but also to grow the Oakwood Apartments portfolio size and inventory in the coming years,” shares Paul Stocker, vice president of sales, marketing & revenue management at Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd.

Hot on the heels of Oakwood’s foray into Vietnam is the launch of a new product, Oakwood Suites in Jakarta, with the opening of Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta on 16th December 2016.  “The launch of Oakwood Suites comes with much anticipation as we have taken this opportunity to differentiate the Oakwood Suites offering not merely on a product level, but more importantly, on service” commented Craig Bond, vice president of operations. “With Oakwood Suites, residents can expect discreet service tailored to one’s lifestyle with a focus on subtlety”.

Catering to jetsetters and senior executives seeking respite, Oakwood Suites offers comfort in a private and exclusive environment, allowing residents to rejuvenate with their every need attended to. Fully serviced accommodation, sleek designs, and unobtrusive yet attentive service are some of the elements guests can expect from an Oakwood Suites property.

Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta offers 80 units of two- and three-bedroom apartments with modern interiors, fitted with fully-equipped kitchens and furnished with Smeg and Grohe appliances. Natural light streams into the living areas of the spacious apartments through floor-to-ceiling windows which offer unobstructed panoramic views of the city. Facilities include a pool and gym as well as a Residents’ Lounge.

Located along Jalan Barito – in the city’s elite suburban area, Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta is within easy reach of Sudirman Central Business District. Part of the Duta Anggada Group’s mixed use development project, residential and retail blocks are adjacent to the property with the likes of a sizable supermarket and a range of food & beverage outlets easily accessible to guests at Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta.

The running of the property will be spearheaded by Dicky Pratama, general manager of Oakwood Suites La Maison Jakarta.
