Oakwood Promotes Roy Liang To Regional General Manager, Malaysia, Singapore & Vietnam
SINGAPORE – Oakwood®, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mapletree Investments, has promoted Roy Liang to the role of Regional General Manager. In his new capacity, Roy will oversee Oakwood’s properties in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. He will continue to serve as General Manager of the award-winning Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore.
As part of Oakwood’s rapid expansion in Asia Pacific, Roy will support corporate operations in optimising the performance of his region. His remit includes pre-opening of new properties, implementing and monitoring operations standards while ensuring compliance with the group's brand strategy. Roy will develop and champion new initiatives to drive service excellence and operational success.

Roy joined Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore as General Manager in 2017 when he successfully opened the stunning property. Under his stewardship over the last two years, he has driven many new initiatives at the property which are now being implemented across the Oakwood Premier properties in the region, and elevated Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore into a hospitality icon recognized by numerous awards conferred by renown publications and institutions. Most recently, Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore was voted Best Service Residence in Asia Pacific in the 2019 Business Traveller Award. Other notable awards include a double win at the Serviced Apartment Awards 2019, where the property was conferred ‘Best Property (71+ units)’ and Roy was named ‘Rising Star Of The Year’.
