Oakwood Recognised as ‘Best Serviced Residence Brand’ in Asia Pacific by DestinAsian Readers' Choice Awards 2022
Prestigious accolade follows ‘Best Serviced Apartment Operator’ honour by China Hotel Starlight Awards 2021, the Chinese hospitality industry’s “Oscars”
SINGAPORE – Oakwood, a pioneer in the serviced apartments industry for 60 years, celebrates its title as Asia Pacific’s ‘Best Serviced Residence Brand’ conferred by DestinAsian magazine’s Readers' Choice Awards 2022. This prestigious brand recognition, a vote of confidence by readers of the region’s leading travel magazine, is supplemented by a series of country-level awards where three distinctive Oakwood Premier properties also won Top Ten rankings in the “Best Hotels” list for Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
In the national polls for “Best Hotels”, Oakwood Premier Tokyo secured eighth position while both Oakwood Premier Coex Center Seoul and Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore were ranked 10th position in their respective countries. Currently established in ten locations including Melbourne, Guangzhou, Tonglu, Bangalore, Jakarta, Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore, the Oakwood Premier brand is built on the foundation of tailored luxury for the discerning traveller. The brand’s hallmark experience – Oakwood Premier Mobile Bar, which delivers a personalised lounge indulgence comprising cocktails and canapés to the privacy of the apartments, was launched across all Oakwood Premier properties in June 2021.

Oakwood’s latest recognition continues an award-winning run in Asia Pacific for the leadership role in an intensely competitive hospitality landscape. Last year, Oakwood was honoured as the “Best Serviced Apartment Operator” in the “Oscars” for the Chinese hospitality industry, the 16th edition of China Hotel Starlight Awards. This is China’s most authoritative list of outstanding contribution by hotel brands, teams and individuals. In the same ceremony, the “Best Serviced Apartment Brand” went to Oakwood Beluxs, a brand created for China’s new generation of travellers.
Having recently crossed the historic milestone of 10,000 keys within a rapidly growing portfolio of more than 80 properties worldwide, Oakwood remains on target to double its portfolio of managed properties by 2025. Asia Pacific is leading the brand’s growth ambition, with a line-up of 20 more openings scheduled in 2022.
